Thirsty Fish Pictures

Thirsty Fish

We went letterboxing again today. This one is located in Ahwatukee, AZ. It's a easy hike, 5 mile round trip. This is the hardest one we have done yet. When we got to the letterbox there was Indian paintings on the rocks. The sign said they were 600 years old. This is still a lot of fun. We are already planning our next letterboxing adventure.

Stake Fair

Tonight I took all the kids to the annual Stake fair our church puts on. I forgot my camera so there is no pictures. The kids had a lot of fun. Bailey and Stephanie walked around talking to their friends, and sat down to listen to the band. Later on I found out they were flirting with the band. (At least it was boys their age, and from our church) Edward, Alec, and Anthony, played games, ate sno cones, and went on the bouncy slide all night. Brandon and I played all the carnival games, bounce house, and the bouncy slide. We also had popcorn, cookies, sno cones, etc. All the kids had fun. That is what memories are made of. It was a great night!

Boy Scouts/Happy Gila Monster/Monster's End

Edward, had to identify 10 native plants, and 10 native animals to AZ, for his Boy Scouting badge work. While we were there we did some letterboxing too. There were 2 hidden, but 1 was missing. Of course I took pictures, and the kids really hammed it up, but I can't get the pictures to post. I'll try again later.

Mother/Son picnic

Mother/ Son picnic

Our Bear Cub Scouts, planned a mother/son picnic for Mother's Day. The boys decorated boxes (to put the lunch in), planned a menu, made lunch, and even made Hershey Kisses rose buds. It was a beautiful day. I think the boys really enjoyed it. I know the moms did.

Lucky letterbox

We went on our first letterboxing hunt tonight. I have to say this was a super easy one to find. It was the only one hidden in Chandler though. Next week we are going to try and find the two hidden in Gilbert. It was fun looking through the ledger to see who else had found it before us. Of course we re hid it. Family Fast for Danielle

This Friday May 9, 2008, at 7:30 am Danielle Ramirez will be having surgery to repair her kidney. Danielle has kidney reflux, it is at a stage 5. She is the daughter of Carlos and Candice Ramirez. (Carlos is Juan's cousin.) This Friday we will be having a family fast for Danielle, and we are inviting everyone who wants to, to join in with us. The surgery has a 96% sucess rate, but we just want to keep Danielle in our hearts and prayers. Thanks to all.

Play List

I took a lot of our songs of the play list. It was just taking too long to load on the blog. Sorry.

Camping with just the guys

Juan took the boys up to Bear Flats last night to go camping. It was a father/son camp out with the church. Driving up there they got lost, but eventually they found the camp site. Then when they went to pitch the tent they didn't have the poles to put up the tent with. So they had to sleep in the back of Juan's truck. While trying to go to sleep they saw 5 shooting stars. Alec thought that was really neat. Everyone woke up at 5am, had breakfast, and then went for a 5 mile hike. (Edward, had to go on a 5 mile hike to pass off some Boy Scout requirements.) When they got home the boys were covered in dirt from head to toe. Everyone had a great time.

Father/Son Camp Out

Update on posts

I took off the pictures of Bailey's totes, and pictures of our low rider. It was taking up too much room. I will be posting some pictures later tonight of the Father/Son camp out.
