Family Updates

I'm not sure why I'm trying to update this blog, I don't think anyone reads it. Anyways here is a quick recap. Last month Juan and Alec went to the Diamondback/ Dodgers game, for father/ son bonding.
A couple of weeks ago I took Edward to Rawhide for mother/son bonding time. That was a lot of fun. They changes the town to Doomstown for Halloween. There is 2 haunted houses, and 2 scary shows (not recommended for little ones), and a lot of other fun things to do. We had a blast.
Last night I took Bailey, to America's Best Dance Crew. That was way fun. Super Cr3w , Fanny Pak, ASID, Jabawakeez (?), and Breakscape (?) was there. When the dancers took their break at intermission, they had a surprise performer. It turned out to be Baby Bash. I was more excited about that than Bailey was.
As a family trip, we drove to the Grand Canyon last Saturday. We left at 4 in the morning, and returned home by 8pm. On the way up there we stopped by the Fred Flintstone's village. That was a lot of fun also. We went down a Dino slide. Just like Fred does in the cartoon. All of their houses were there. There's even a train ride. We had our picture taken with Fred.
We have been keeping busy as a family, and having a lot of fun together.

Belly Dancing

Last night Bailey and I took our first belly dancing class. (It is a five week class.) Belly dancing is way hard.Especially when you have to walk and shimmy at the same time. It's not so bad doing isolated movements, but when you have to do a combination of moves at the same time, while you are walking, it's hard. I worked mussels I didn't even know I have in my lower back, butt, and stomach. After one hour of dance it was really hard to walk home. It was like we rode a horse for an hour, and just got off of it. By the way, we walked home because the class is only two blocks from our home. I need to practice a lot before next Monday. It was great daughter, mother bonding time. We laughed so hard at ourselves. It was great.
Before I go ... the soda pack didn't work so well. I broke down and gave Alec a dollar.

No Soda Pack

I drink way to much soda. I feel me kids drink too much soda also. I'm always bugging them, and telling them they can not have soda. Of course they say thats not fair, you drink it. So, Alec says to me Sunday night let's have a no soda pack for 1 month. We can not drink it at all, or we owe the other person $1.00. We shock on it. Today is day 2 for both of us. Alec seems to be fine, but I'm not. Do you know how hard it is not to open the fridge and grab a soda. I'm all ready sick of water. Wish us luck.

R.J. America's Best Dance Crew

Two words... Super Cr3w. That's right Bailey and I just got our tickets to see them, and of course everyone else on the tour. Our tickets are pretty good. We are 15 rows from the stage. I think the Jabbawokies are going to be there too. If you do not know what I'm talking about, it is a dance show on MTV. The concert is not until Oct.

Scentsy Update

The Scentsy Spring/Summer catalog will be coming to an end soon. Some of the scents and warmers will be discontinued. The good news the Fall/Winter catalog will be out soon. Scentsy is bringing back some old favorites, and brand new scents. There will also be new warmer designs, and a new smaller warmer that fits right into your outlet for those small places. This warmer only holds 2 cubes at a time, and only cost $15.00.
I will be holding an open house for all the new scents, and warmers. The date is still to be determined.
I'm' putting together a contest right now. I think it will be a mystery hostess contest. Everyone who puts in an order, with the new Fall/Winter catalog, from my open house, will be entered into the drawing to become the mystery hostess. I'm still working on the details.
Just a reminder everything this month in the Scentsy catalog is 10% off. The scent of the month is Herb Garden.

Ward Split AGAIN

Our ward split again. This is our 5Th ward in 4 years. We are now officially Cooper 2Nd. The funny thing is we haven't moved. At least church starts at 1:30pm now, instead of 8:00 am.

Beware of Target

I will never shop at Target again. Their return policy sucks. Before our computer crashed, we went to Target to get an anti virus software, to remove the viruses. Before we bought it we asked the employee can we return it if it doesn't work, she said yes, just un install it. So, we bought it. The software didn't work! (MaCafee) Our computer crashed, and we had to buy a new computer. When we went to return the software, we notice on the receipt it said you can not return if opened. We tried anyways. Only to be told no, and pretty much be called liars, because they didn't believe us. Target needs to get their crap together and train their employees. I'm so mad I'm just trying to spread the word.

Merry Chrsitmas In July

Merry Christmas everyone!!! Only 5 months to go. Have you started your shopping yet? I have. Yeah for me.

Box Canyon

Let me start by saying what an adventure! Seriously. One of the young women's leaders called me Friday night to see if I could drive and go on the hike with the young women. They were short adults. If I couldn't go they would have to cancel the whole thing. (There was 12 girls looking forward to this hike.) Bailey, had 3 of the girls spending the night at our house, because they all need a ride to the church in the morning. I asked how hard the hike was. She said it was about 1/4 of mile to the water, and we had to walk through water. Sounds easy enough to me, so I said I would go. NEVER again will I go hiking there again. You do not walk through water, you SWIM through water fully dressed. Go down stream was okay. Until you hit rocks under the water with your shins. I have more bruises up and down my legs. Plus there are waterfalls you have to go down. My back has bruises from that. I even have bruises where I didn't think you could bruise. Going back up stream was HARD. You had to climb back up the waterfalls. I thought the were going have to call for help to get me out of the canyon. This not a hike to take if you are not in shape. (Which I'm not.) I can hardly move today. On the bright side, the girls had fun, and they had to use team work to help pull each other out of the canyon. Actually they had no choice, but use team work. One have the men we brought on the hike to pull the girls out of the canyon, broke his ankle. Yes. on the hike. I wish I had pictures, but I couldn't take my camera, since it was a swimming, rock climbing hike. I'm so glad to be home.

Her mom, Aunt, Uncle, and sister drove out to pick her up, and stayed with us for the weekend. Of course we have been doing a lot of swimming. We also went bowling and couple of times.
Juan, bought me an early birthday present. My new bike I have been wanting.
We just laid low for the 4Th of July. That was the first weekend no was here, my kids were all home.
The slide show will just be highlights of the summer so far.

stupid squirrel

here is my favorite day at camp.

i just made a lunch for the 2 years 5 mile hike and i put it right next to my duck tape bag up against a tree. i went on my way to dance with no care in the world. i come back in like an hour and was looking for my lunch. i turned around and there was a really fat and fluffy squirrel. he looks at me i look at him and in a blink of an eye he runs of. i told my friend Kaile what the french toast is his problem but she was laughing to hard to care.

Juan's Family

Trip To Cali

Juan, and his brother drove to Calif. Friday night to pick up our niece Marina. She is staying with us this summer. Also to pick up Lupe's son (our nephew) Andrew. While they were there the had a family BBQ, and took pictures. (I'm going to try and post the pictures.) Juan said it was nice seeing everyone.

Girls Camp

Bailey, had a lot of fun at girls camp. I told her to come blog about it, but she didn't. Maybe later on. The funniest thing she told me that happened there was a squirrel stole her lunch. They had sack lunches for their hike, and everyone sat down their lunch until it was time to eat. When Bailey went to get her lunch, a squirrel ran off with it. No lunch for Bailey. I told her it was because last year in Oklahoma, they were shooting at the squirrels with wrist rockets, and Alec hit one. So they came back to haunt her.

My hair cut

OK, well I haven't told many people, and not too many people have seen my new hair cut. I cut it all off. Yes, I now have short hair. My boys said "You look like Grandma" (whatever), and my husband said, "As long as you like it" Thanks for the love you guys. Anyways, I'm getting use to it, and when I get the nerve up I'll post a pic.

Edward Looking pimp!!!

Photobucket Album
Photobucket

Edward's 12th Birthday

Edward turns 12!!! Besides wanting an ipod for his birthday, he wanted a new suit to wear to church. Now that he is 12 he can pass the sacrament, and collect fast offerings. So... as Edward puts it he wants to look pimp. I think he looks very handsome.

Tortilla Flats/Lost Dutchman

Tortilla Flats letterboxing/Lost Dutchman

We went letterboxing on Edward's birthday. The first one we found was really easy. It was located in Tortilla Flats. This is a small, very small western town. The second one we hiked for 2 hours, in triple degree weather, in First Water Canyon, and never found it. Very disappointing. We did come across a baby mountain lion. It kept meowing at us, and following us through the bushes. We hiked faster at that point. Mama mountain lion couldn't of been too far away. On the way home we stopped for pizza, and we had brownies instead of cake. It's another great family memory. As Alec would say "good times!!!"

Thirsty Fish Pictures

Thirsty Fish

We went letterboxing again today. This one is located in Ahwatukee, AZ. It's a easy hike, 5 mile round trip. This is the hardest one we have done yet. When we got to the letterbox there was Indian paintings on the rocks. The sign said they were 600 years old. This is still a lot of fun. We are already planning our next letterboxing adventure.

Stake Fair

Tonight I took all the kids to the annual Stake fair our church puts on. I forgot my camera so there is no pictures. The kids had a lot of fun. Bailey and Stephanie walked around talking to their friends, and sat down to listen to the band. Later on I found out they were flirting with the band. (At least it was boys their age, and from our church) Edward, Alec, and Anthony, played games, ate sno cones, and went on the bouncy slide all night. Brandon and I played all the carnival games, bounce house, and the bouncy slide. We also had popcorn, cookies, sno cones, etc. All the kids had fun. That is what memories are made of. It was a great night!

Boy Scouts/Happy Gila Monster/Monster's End

Edward, had to identify 10 native plants, and 10 native animals to AZ, for his Boy Scouting badge work. While we were there we did some letterboxing too. There were 2 hidden, but 1 was missing. Of course I took pictures, and the kids really hammed it up, but I can't get the pictures to post. I'll try again later.

Mother/Son picnic

Mother/ Son picnic

Our Bear Cub Scouts, planned a mother/son picnic for Mother's Day. The boys decorated boxes (to put the lunch in), planned a menu, made lunch, and even made Hershey Kisses rose buds. It was a beautiful day. I think the boys really enjoyed it. I know the moms did.

Lucky letterbox

We went on our first letterboxing hunt tonight. I have to say this was a super easy one to find. It was the only one hidden in Chandler though. Next week we are going to try and find the two hidden in Gilbert. It was fun looking through the ledger to see who else had found it before us. Of course we re hid it. Camping with just the guys

Juan took the boys up to Bear Flats last night to go camping. It was a father/son camp out with the church. Driving up there they got lost, but eventually they found the camp site. Then when they went to pitch the tent they didn't have the poles to put up the tent with. So they had to sleep in the back of Juan's truck. While trying to go to sleep they saw 5 shooting stars. Alec thought that was really neat. Everyone woke up at 5am, had breakfast, and then went for a 5 mile hike. (Edward, had to go on a 5 mile hike to pass off some Boy Scout requirements.) When they got home the boys were covered in dirt from head to toe. Everyone had a great time.

Father/Son Camp Out

Update on posts

I took off the pictures of Bailey's totes, and pictures of our low rider. It was taking up too much room. I will be posting some pictures later tonight of the Father/Son camp out.

Swimming in AZ

It's not hot here yet for AZ, but it is 98*. Our pool temp. right now is 77* The kids were having fun swimming. Bailey, decided she was too sick for church today, so she couldn't go swimming.

YW & YM fundraiser

Last night was the fundraiser to send the YW & YM to camp. It was a lot of fun. The theme was "The People's Choice Awards". Bailey put together a basket for the silent auction. The last I checked it was up to $40.00. I'm not sure what it went for at the end. We left early. It was past my bed time. Anyways Bailey, and the other girls were to dress up like movie stars to hand out the awards. I'll post a picture here soon of my beautiful Bailey.

Saturday, April 26, 2008

Juan says I need new pictures of our low rider. So I told him to go wash it and make it Chiny, and park it in the front lawn. Then I'll take pictures.

Oh my gato!!!

Oh my gato!!! You are probably sick of hearing about this, but Miss Bailey, made a total of 18, yes 18, totes. She has sold all of them, but 4. Her camp is now paid for, and now the money she earns will go to buying her secret sister things. Not only did she pay for her own camp, she learned how to sew. You go Bailey! Again a BIG thank you to everyone who supported her.

Play List

Check out my play list below. Don't worry I made sure they were edited. More to be added at a later date. By the way Bailey, did help me pick out some of the songs.

Yard Sale

We had a yard sale yesterday. It was a huge success. Lupe, and Susie brought some stuff over to sell also. Our garage is so clean now. It feels so good to be able to walk into the 3rd car garage without tripping over things.

Update On Bailey's Totes

Wow!!! What can I say. Bailey sold 7 totes in one day. Two of them are special orders, and then she is going to make one extra for a total of 15 totes. I'm now paid back, and the rest of the money goes to Girls Camp. Thank you to everyone who purchased one, or two.

Bailey's Totes

Bailey has been working so hard making these totes. They are for sale, only $10.00, plus shipping if we have to mail it. She is trying to raise enough money to go to Girls Camp. There is only eight in the slide show, but she is working on four more. If she sells all twelve she will have enough money to go to camp, and pay me back for supplies. She has already sold three, plus two for sure tonight (The buyer just needs to pick out which two she wants.), and maybe two more. I think she might have to make more. They really are cute. I'm so proud of her.
